The Newman Animal Shelter has recently upgraded its facilities to enhance the comfort and well-being of its furry residents. As part of the improvements, the shelter installed a section of artificial grass in the play area, replacing the previous gravel surface where dogs would exercise and play. This change offers a softer, more comfortable environment for the animals, helping to reduce stress levels, especially for those that are lost or anxious.
In addition to the artificial turf, the shelter has built ten new kennels, each equipped with dog houses and plenty of blankets to ensure the animals stay warm and cozy. These kennels are covered to protect the dogs from the elements, offering a welcoming space for them to rest and recuperate. The combination of concrete for stability and artificial grass for comfort creates a much more inviting space for the shelter’s residents.
This thoughtful upgrade highlights the shelter's commitment to improving the lives of the animals in their care, ensuring they feel as safe and comfortable as possible during their stay.
