When Novel Media, a creative agency known for its work with major brands like the NFL, NHL, and Verizon, sought the perfect artificial turf for a high-stakes NFL Players Association video shoot, they found an unlikely hero in Artificial Grass AGS. The project marked the 20th anniversary of the NFL Players Association Rookie Premiere, a celebration of the journey every rookie takes toward NFL success. For this shoot, Novel Media needed turf featuring a marked 20-yard line—a crucial element for their theme.
Enter Cameron Gordon, Novel Media’s visionary director, who was on a mission to locate this specific type of turf. Novel Media was preparing to use large stencils to paint the required markings onto a generic piece of turf when Cameron came across Artificial Grass AGS of Woodland Hills. In an unexpected stroke of luck, Cameron connected with AGS’s Greg Gutesha, and what happened next was nothing short of cinematic.
“The Producer God(s) must have been smiling down upon me,” Cameron recounted. “I walked in with minimal expectations, explained my vision to the salesman, and he immediately lit up with a smile. He led me around the back of the facility and rolled out a massive piece of turf with the 20-yard line already on it—the only football field section they had. What are the odds?”
Thanks to Artificial Grass AGS, Novel Media had exactly what they needed, ready-made and perfectly suited for their shoot. This collaboration became another success story for AGS, whose turf has now graced an NFL production—an impressive milestone for a company known for delivering top-quality, sustainable turf solutions.
